Nellie K. Herchenbach is an Associate Attorney with the law firm of The Bellon Law Group. She practices exclusively in the area of family law, specifically focusing on issues relating to divorce, paternity, child support and child custody. Ms. Herchenbach's primary goal is to provide legal counseling and assistance to her clients during the trying and often lengthy domestic litigation process.

In addition to assisting her own clients in navigating the legal system, Ms. Herchenbach serves as a court-appointed Guardian ad Litem for children in Missouri family courts. Ms. Herchenbach is licensed to practice in both Missouri and Illinois.

Education & Experience

Ms. Herchenbach is a member of the St. Charles County Bar Association, Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis, The Missouri Bar, and Illinois State Bar Association. Ms. Herchenbach earned her undergraduate degree from Washington University in St. Louis, where she was on the Dean’s List and a vice president of the sorority Delta Gamma. After graduating college, Ms. Herchenbach was chosen to participate in Teach for America, where she taught second grade at a bilingual school in the Bronx neighborhood of New York City. She then attended Saint Louis University Law School, where she graduated in the top third of her class, and worked as a Faculty Fellow and Saint Louis University Law Journal editor. Furthermore, Ms. Herchenbach’s journal casenote was awarded Third Place nationally by the American Bar Association’s Section of Family Law in its 2010 Howard C. Schwab Memorial Essay contest. Her work was then published in the nationally renowned journal, the Family Law Quarterly.

When Ms. Herchenbach is not in the office or in court, she serves on the Muckfest MS Committee (National Multiple Sclerosis Society: Gateway Area Chapter) and spends time with her Little Sister, Miracle, whom she met several years ago through Big Brothers Big Sisters.
